Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the TripLuv app. By creating an account or using TripLuv, you agree to these Terms.

01 The service

TripLuv is a trip planning, group expense-splitting and travel journaling app. Features include AI-assisted itinerary suggestions, budget tracking, group expense splitting, travel journaling and hotel price comparison.

02 Your account

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account, and keep your login credentials secure.
• You're responsible for all activity under your account.
• You must be at least 13 years old to use TripLuv.

03 Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use TripLuv for any unlawful purpose
• Upload content that is abusive, defamatory, or infringes others' rights
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the app or its backend
• Use the app to harass or harm other users

04 Your content

You retain ownership of the trips, expenses, journal entries and photos you create. By uploading content, you grant TripLuv a limited licence to store and display it back to you and to any group trip members you invite, solely to operate the app. You're responsible for having the right to share any content you upload.

05 Group trips, expenses & settlements

You're responsible for verifying expense splits and settlements with your group before relying on them.

06 AI-generated content

Itinerary suggestions, place recommendations and cost estimates are generated with the help of AI (Google Gemini) based on the trip details you provide. This content is for planning convenience only and may be inaccurate or outdated — always independently verify details such as opening hours, prices, availability, visa requirements and safety conditions before you travel.

07 Hotel search & third-party bookings

The Find Hotels feature displays pricing from third-party hotel data providers and links to third-party booking sites and partners (including but not limited to MakeMyTrip, Agoda, Goibibo and Booking.com). When you tap through to book:

• You leave TripLuv and transact directly with that third party, under their own terms and privacy policy
• TripLuv may earn a referral commission if you complete a booking through these links, at no extra cost to you
• TripLuv is not responsible for the accuracy of third-party pricing or availability, or for the outcome of any booking made on a third-party site

08 Disclaimer of warranties

TripLuv is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that AI-generated suggestions will be accurate.

09 Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TripLuv and its developers are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the app — including but not limited to travel decisions made based on AI suggestions, disputes between group trip members over expenses or settlements, or issues arising from third-party bookings.

10 Account termination

You may delete your account at any time from Profile → Account → Delete Account. This erases your personal information and your own content permanently. Where you shared a trip with other people, your expense and settlement entries are kept with your name replaced by "Deleted user", so their balances stay accurate — our Privacy Policy sets out exactly what is erased and what is retained. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

11 Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

12 Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India.
